Test Cartoon Images
Each cartoon image on this page can be used for testing our standard file formats before purchasing.When you purchase a copy of one of our cartoons, that copy will have been scanned from the original artwork at 375dpi. The original artwork varies in size, but is generally at least 15cm across and sometimes larger. This means that for standard print use at 300dpi, our cartoon images should be printable at high resolution up to about 20cm across (largest dimension).
Black and white line-art images are supplied as 1 bit (plain black and white) GIF files as this gives very small file sizes (generally between 50kb and 300Kb). Please note that if you are resizing or resampling these GIF files, you will obtain much better results if you change them to RGB mode (24 bit colour depth) first. Greyscale and colour images are supplied as RGB (24 bit) JPEG files. File sizes for greyscale and colour images are generally between 150Kb and 2Mb.
If you require different file formats or higher resolution scans, please contact us to discuss your requirements. We can often supply these at no extra charge.
