It\u2019s also a good Jewish joke.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThese entries all address the computer:<\/span><\/p>\n\n- \u201cCorporate decided it\u2019s cheaper to make you a superhero than to hire you an assistant.<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n
- \u201cSo you\u2019re the one who\u2019s been saving the city from Excel crashes.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n
- \u201cThe Justice League won\u2019t let you work from home anymore.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n
- \u201cThey need you to convert a PDF to a Word doc.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n
- \u201cSo\u2026are you fighting crime remotely now?\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n
- \u201cHoney, google \u2018delusions of grandeur.\u2019\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Here are the month\u2019s best sex jokes:<\/span><\/p>\n\n- \u201cFine, I\u2019ll be a schoolgirl tonight, but you\u2019re wearing this.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n
- \u201cForeplay is out, but cosplay is in?\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The best pun: <\/span>\u201cSaving any files today?\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/p>\nAnd the best dark joke: <\/span>\u201cDon\u2019t you think this suit\u2019s a bit flashy for mom\u2019s funeral?\u201d<\/i><\/b> Replacing the words \u201cthis suit\u2019s\u201d with a simple \u201cit\u2019s\u201d would make the joke punchier.<\/span><\/p>\nSome of the judges liked this entry\u2014<\/span>\u201cI sewed your name inside the cape.\u201d<\/i><\/b>\u2014but I don\u2019t think it makes sense because the woman\u2019s not addressing a child.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nI also disagreed with a few of my fellow judges about this entry: <\/span>\u201cAre you saving someone else?\u201d<\/i><\/b> It implies the man\u2019s having an affair and addresses the superhero angle changing the word \u201cseeing\u201d to \u201csaving,\u201d but it doesn\u2019t make sense.<\/span><\/p>\nThe next two entries suggest that the man\u2019s been trying to protect his secret identity by lying to his wife about where he goes and what he does:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n- \u201cWhat exactly happens on these fishing trips with the boys?\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n
- \u201cSo\u2026anything you want to tell me about \u2018Bridge Club?\u2019\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n
- \u201cI never believed you were bowling, but this?\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
This caption suggests the man is a collector: <\/span>\u201cDid you get a Certificate of Authenticity?\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/p>\nThis next entry combines references to both the domestic setting and the comic book character who popularized the superhero genre: <\/span>\u201cWe\u2019ve been invited to the Kent\u2019s for dinner.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/p>\nThese two captions acknowledge that the woman\u2019s husband is, at best, a second-rate superhero:<\/span><\/p>\n\n- \u201cThey said all the other superheroes are busy.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n
- \u201cRemind me. What\u2019s your superpower?\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The next two entries suggest that the man is trying to become a superhero (or at least dress the part) because he\u2019s having a midlife crisis:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n- \u201cWhy can\u2019t you buy a Corvette and have an affair like other men your age?\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n
- \u201cMost guys just buy a sports car.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
