The drawing immediately calls to mind the Brothers Grimm\u2019s \u201cThe Frog Prince,\u201d or later versions like Disney\u2019s \u201cThe Princess and the Frog,\u201d so my first two captions contain references to that story.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n I next had the woman explaining why her prince still sits like a frog: \u201cMaybe it should have been a longer kiss.\u201d \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n I then focused on the man\u2019s bare feet: \u201cNo shoes on the furniture.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Now let\u2019s see how you did:<\/p>\n As expected, there were a lot of \u201cFrog Prince\u201d entries:<\/p>\n Like I did, several of you tried to explain why the prince still sits like a frog:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n The next two captions focus on the man\u2019s frog-like characteristics but play down any allusions to the fairy tale:<\/p>\n Some of you assumed the man was acting not like a frog but like a primate:<\/p>\n That last caption is a decent pun. Speaking of which, the next two entries play on the double-meaning of the same word:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n There were a surprising number of decent sex jokes:<\/p>\n Those last two captions rely, in a way that\u2019s both clever and juvenile, on the fact that the woman\u2019s head obscures the view.<\/p>\n Like I did, several of you focused on the man\u2019s bare feet:<\/p>\n\n
