A-yes, they certainly are. But whether you think that’s all for the good, somewhat for the good, or no good at all, we all can agree that funny is still funny—unless it’s not. For some art forms, time becomes them. Michelangelo’s stuff looks better every year! Not so much with his sense of humor, though. In fact, if there are any surviving jokes from his cartoons, I haven’t heard them.
New Cash Prize Caption Contest!
Get funny for real money!
Mark June 7 on your calendars. That’s when our brand-new cartoon caption contest kicks in with a cool grand for the winner. That’s right, ONE-THOUSAND DOLLARS for the funniest caption! With that much dough going out, we need some coming in to cover the prize and pay the cartoonist, so a $5 entrance fee entitles you to submit three captions. It also entitles you to a few other things.
- -Each contest features an original drawing that will surely stimulate your cleverest captions. We believe the ink is as important as the think!Â
- -Every single caption will be reviewed and evaluated. You can be sure that your caption will be fairly considered by our panel of five expert judges!
- -Speaking of which, our panel of professional judges now includes the cartoonist who created the contest cartoon. Every submission will first be reviewed by each judge independently. Then, the team will come together as a group to select the ultimate winner.
So, there you have it. Save the date, break out your thinking cap, put it on backward, and get those funny juices flowing. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
