Amy Hwang has drawn cartoons for The New Yorker since 2010. Recurring themes in her work include cats and sleep.
Amy worked in architecture before pursuing cartooning full-time in 2018, a decision she recounts in her 2019 TEDxYale talk. She first started drawing cartoons in 1997 for The Columbia Daily Spectator as a student at Barnard College.
